Each month we round up our favourite pieces. For September we’re heading into Spring so we wanted to put together something that encapsulates the introduction of slightly warmer weather put still put together. For us, that means shorter hemlines. Spring, especially in September doesn’t always mean warm for us Aussies, so our picks must be transeasonal. We’ve also placed this outfit in the office and can go from desk to dinner.

Our statement piece of this month’s outfit is one of our old favourites, the Vintage Plaid Blazer by CSYH. This is a tailored blazer in a cream and brown plaid. It is a relaxed fit and is cinched in at the waist by elasticated black belting which can be worn open or fastened with small toggle-like buttons. It’s perfect for work or just feeling a bit more put together as it’s comfortable yet stylish and flattering. Shop the blazer here
We wanted to pair the blazer with simple bottoms. We chose the tailored Black Shorts by Square Circle to keep the silhouette chic and office appropriate. They are structured, trouser-like shorts stopping just above the knee. They feature a simple pleat down each leg and zip and button fastening at the front. We love the simplicity of these shorts, perfect to wear on those warmer days whilst still being work appropriate. Shop the black shorts here
We had to include the Drawstring Bag by Kitayama in this outfit. This bag is crafted from black calfskin and features a statement circular ring handle and a 53cm copper chain strap. The Kitayama logo is finely embossed in pale gold on the outside of the bag. It’s perfect to hold just the essentials. We love this bag as it goes with everything! It’s great from going from night and day and looks great at all occasions. From Kitayama's Amachan collection. Shop the drawstring bag here
Time for the shoes! As our outfit is currently feeling a little simple we had to add a little colour with the addition of the Needle Atelier Round Head Loafers. This pair of loafers are crafted from brown and baby blue coloured calfskin. They feature a large baby blue coloured tongue design and an irregular geometric block heel which contrasts with the shape of the block heel of the shoe. The heel measures at 3cm which is perfect for a little bit of height yet still feel comfortable enough to be worn all day. Shop these loafers here
To add a little flare we’ve also picked the Red Wave Point Socks from Almond Rocks. These are blue-grey socks with small red polka dots. We love Almond Rocks socks so we like to try and wear them with everything! All the colours and patterns are brilliant and their socks are highly elastic and comfortable. The advantage of using combed cotton is that it is more durable than pure cotton, they are less likely to pill and are less prone to shrinkage. Shop these socks here
To top it off, we’ve chosen one of our new additions to the Fashion Boundary family, the Stage 3864 Zoom designer watch in black. This unisex piece features a black watch face and a brown genuine leather wrist strap. It has fine lines marking the numbers creating a really simple, chic finish. We love the simple design of this watch. Shop this watch here
