Colour Trends For 2020

Only a few short months away until 2020 and we have been so intrigued in what Melbourne, New York and London Fashion Weeks had in store. All we can say is colour! 

Pantone’s trend forecasting and colour consultancy, the Fashion Colour Trend Report has predicted for the Spring/Summer 2020 Color Palette features brilliant bright tones like Flame Saffron and Biscay Green but also include more muted shades like Faded Denim and Coral Pink.

“Combining our desire for stability, creativity, and more spontaneous design approaches, the color palette for Spring/Summer 2020 (SS20) infuses heritage and tradition with a colorful youthful update that creates strong multi-colored combinations as well as energizing and optimistic pairings,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the 'Pantone Color Institute' in a company statement

Spring/Summer of 2020 will be all about being in ‘harmony with nature’. Fashion trend forecaster, Christine Foden states “it’s nature infused with urban functionality” noting that dark forest greens and citric yellows will be spotted.

Trend forecaster, Christine Boland predicts neutral colours such as off-white, cream and ecru will be a big trend for the Spring/Summer of 2020. They will come in natural or sustainable materials such as linen, jute and organic cotton, as stated in an article by Fashion United.
