C/MEO Collective Brand Story
C/MEO Collective is an Australian women’s fashion label, established in 2010. C/MEO is known for its strong silhouettes and bold prints and colours.
Each year C/MEO launches 11 collections each centred around a particular theme, which inspires the fundamental prints, shapes, and fabric. Each launch could be seen as separate capsule collections, as each range can stand independently from the others.
‘Apart, each piece created is wearable innovation; together, a formidable collection of sartorial strength, always championing beauty and form through directional design.’
C/MEO's consistent innovation and boundary-pushing designs have made a name for themselves in the Australian and global fashion scene.
The C/MEO Woman
The brand describes the C/MEO woman as someone who interprets the garments in her own way, culturally engaged and ahead of the pack. You'll find her at the latest exhibition or opening of a new bar you'd never heard of until now.
She is a risk-taker but not reckless when it comes to fashion. Empowered by her choices, she is a leader and a source of inspiration for her friends. Her style is authentic and always true to her tastes; she knows what she likes, what she wants and how to make it her own. As stated on C/MEO Collective website
Head Designer, Siham Elmawey
It was early in high school that Siham Elmawey found her desire for fashion design, starting out on textiles and fabrication through re-designing vintage pieces to sell at local markets.
While honing her skills at TAFE SA Fashion College, she was scouted in November 2012 during her second year. Australian Fashion Labels Creative Director, Melanie Flintoft, saw Siham's keen eye and natural ability, quickly appointing her as Assistant Designer for C/MEO. From the start, Siham's style threw a modern spin on the classics and was a perfect match for C/MEO's bold silhouettes and unique prints.
Appointed head designer of C/MEO COLLECTIVE at just 22, Siham has landed her dream role. "I have so many ideas for C/MEO's future," says Siham.
Since then, C/MEO designs have been seen on names like Solange Knowles and Gigi Hadid.
"Growing with the label over the years, I have seen it go from strength to strength. I'm evolving as a designer and I'm so excited to show our devoted followers where we are taking the label."
