2WO+1NE=2

2WO+1NE=2

2WO+1NE=2 (2+1=2) is a designer brand based in Athens, Greece, founded in by designers, Stella Panagopoulou and Valisia Gotsi in 2017. 2WO+1NE=2 is an environmentally conscious brand. They use natural fibers, naturally dyed and processed, and are in constant search of finding renewable and organic materials to feature in their designs. The brand also exclusively only uses French and Bound seams so as to reduce the unraveling of seam edges and to contribute to the longevity of the garment.

Through a combination of minimalism and deconstructivism, 2WO+1NE=2 aims to highlight the cultural fluidity of an increasingly nomadic generation. Based on the idea of Nomadism, each collection is inspired and dedicated to a different city across the globe, drawing elements from particular art scenes, architecture, cinema, music, and people. As well as incorporating different craftsmanship techniques of those places.

2WO+1NE=2 combines conservatism and conventionality, envisaging clothes not as strictly functional everyday items but as multidimensional structures.

2WO+1NE=2
never follows trends instead, aim to create long-lasting garments. By using high quality fabrics 2WO+1NE=2 encourages the notion of buying less and investing more on timeless pieces, in order to reduce the environmental impact of wasted clothing.

To enhance this goal they urge their customers to return their order in order to create with the same raw materials a completely new item designed especially for them. Specifically, we keep our distinctive design elements of the returned garment and we incorporate it into a new one in a different way. This way the craftsmanship and the hard work already put in the garment stays alive and there are no time boundaries.

All their items are produced locally, in house. 2WO+1NE=2 collaborate with other ethical brands, no matter the industry they belong. For example, they have a successful on-going collaboration with Coco-Mat Greece, a sustainable homeware company.
